YO MATIES.

So in the previous anime review I did Zero no Tsukaima but did a big no-no when I did it. I tried to do it from my memory of when I watched it a year or two ago. As you can see it was really short and really bad. So now I'm gonna be re-doing it, and after this I'm gonna be watching season 2 and do a review of that.

ANY WAYS. LET'S GET INTO IT MATIES!

Zero no Tsukaima is about Louise who's a magician at the Tristein Academy, dubbed with the nickname "Zero Louise" due to her inability to effectively use her magic properly, resulting in zero successes. An upcoming test at her academy requires her to summon a familiar, a servant and partner to support her as a magician. Despite desiring a familiar that would be superior to her constantly mocking classmates, Louise ends up summoning Hiraga Saito, your average Japanese boy. Even with Louise and Saito both unwilling to accept each other, they have no choice. Louise cannot attempt another summoning and Saito cannot return to Japan, and so their life together begins.

Plot 7/10

While I did find some more things wrong with it I still didn't find enough for it to lower the score. I also want to point out that the way I score is super biased. I just give it a score on what I think it should get. So soon I will be making an actual scoring system and hopefully make it in time for the next review.

-Saito has some big plot armor. When he was summoned he fell from the sky, and where he fell from was high enough to just leave a big splat of him every where. But yer he survived the fall and was on the ground just in time for the smoke to clear from Louise's explosion. No normal human can do this, and sure you can say he's Gandálfr and that's why, but at the time he wasn't. he was just a normal human being.

--Derflinger has always been used by Gandálfr for years. But how did Gandálfr find Derflinger? I mean when Saito found it, it was beacause Louise didn't have enough for any other sword. So how did Saito get lucky enough to find the sword that is used by Gandálfr?

-No one was able to notice that Longueville was Fouquet. When they were presented with a sketch of Fouquet BY FOUQUET they should have noticed that Longueville is Fouquet.

-This world looks like it's full of smart people but yet no one could figure out how to use the Staff of Destruction. I mean all you had to do was pull a pin and pull on it. Did no one even try to see what the obvious pin that was sticking out was for?

-I feel like Wardes was made just to annoy the viewers by adding some one that's getting married to the main heroin even though she loves some one else. I seriously do feel like they added him just to have some one as a love rival for Saito and to annoy the viewers with making some one get in the way of Saito and Louise.

-I wanna call BS. Saito finds an airplane at least a week before the solar eclipse. This is enough time for Mr. Colbert to make enough gas so it can fly and for Saito to go home. This is some serious plot armor. And not only that, the day of the eclipse is the day Tarbes is attacked. And due to this Saito decides to help them instead of going home. Some serious coincidences right there.

Characters 6/10

Just like last time this score still hasn't changed

And for now on I'm gonna change it up a bit. Instead of just randomly pointing things out, I'm gonna cut this into sections. One for Saito and one for Louise.

Saito:

-He's an idiot just like any other harem MC

-He just lets Louise hit him, just like any other anime MC's who have a Tsundere in their world.

-As I mentioned earlier. This dude may be a kinda good character over all, he is still a generic harem character when it comes to that aspect.

-He's OP even though he has never trained with a sword before.

Louise:

-At the beginning she doesn't consider Saito a person, but considers him as an animal.

-Louise beats Saito, she's Tsundere so that's kinda ok. But what's not ok is that on occasion she'll beat him even though he helped her or did nothing wrong.

-This one isn't a bad thing, it's actually the opposite. I just want you guys to know at the beginning of the season Louise doesn't care if Saito see's her naked. But as time goes on this actually changes meaning that her character is actually changing as her love for Saito grows.

Animation 7/10

I don't see that much wrong with it but some times it does get kinda bad.

Art 8/10 I believe this came out in 2006. And this looks better than most anime I've seen when it comes to art. Although it still doesn't have the best art though.

Soundtrack 7/10

Some times in anime when there's music playing you don't notice that, and this happens a lot. But I defiantly noticed this anime's music. It has a pretty good soundtrack and it stands out even in the middle of the anime.

Enjoyment 7/10

There were some things that annoyed me like Guiche, a cheater. And Wardes, some one who's just there to get in the way of Saito and louise. But other than that it was pretty good.

Over all 8/10

This ended up getting a higher score because some other scores got higher as well. But any ways, I recommend this anime for newcomers who are looking to get into anime and for people looking to suggest anime for their friends to get into. I also recommend this for veterans who are looking for good harem or action, romance anime. it handles every genre it has amazingly. (It has nine by the way. To pull of that many genres in one anime AND do it well is impressive)

WHELP. THIS WRAPS UP THE RE-DO OF THE SEASON ONE REVIEW OF ZERO NO TSUKAIMA.
